Amendment of paragraph 6 of
the Charles Ching Memorial Scholarship rules
Members are informed that paragraph 6 of the Charles Ching Memorial Scholarship Rules has been amended as follows :
“6. All PCLL students and 3rd year law students are all eligible to apply.
All applicants must be at least final year students in a LLB or equivalent
degree course or a common professional examination course which when completed
would entitle such students to pursue the PCLL course in Hong Kong. Preference
may be given to applicants who would otherwise not have an opportunity to
receive advocacy or pupillage training in England.”

Lecture On
”How To Use An Intellectual Asset Management Approach
To Get The Most Value From Intellectual Property”
The Intellectual Property Department is organizing the captioned lecture on Wednesday, 30 March 2005 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm at the Intellectual Property Department, IPD Function Room (Room 2501), 25/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong.
The lecture will be conducted by Dr. Gordon McConnachie, Chairman of Intellectual Assets Centre of Scotland.
There will be no charge for attendance at the lecture. Registration is, however, necessary. Those who are interested to attend should fill in and return by fax (2838 6272) the attached reply slip to the Intellectual Property Department for the attention of Ms. Teresa Li before 23 March 2005. Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
