BAR SCHOLARSHIP CEREMONY 2004

As directed by the Chairman of the Bar Scholarship, Chief Justice Andrew Li, the award ceremony will be held early next year for the successful scholars of 2004 in order to ensure as many scholars will be in Hong Kong.

Donors to the various funds for new entrants to the Bar will be invited to the presentation ceremony and reception in due course.

LONDON INTERNATIONAL WEEKEND 2004
(1 - 3 OCTOBER)

The European Young Bar Association is pleased to invite members to attend the International Weekend ("IW"), which will be held from 1 October - 3 October 2004. The IW coincides with the Opening of the Legal Year in England & Wales and the programme is open to all young lawyers, subject to availability. (Young lawyers are defined as those who are (i) either 36 years or under, or (ii) less than 10 years qualified.)

As extensive programme has been arranged, this includes both social and educational events in a wide variety of settings whether of legal or current interest. The WI is a joint venture between London's two separate legal professions - solicitors and barristers.
