THE OPENING OF THE LEGAL YEAR 2003

Members are informed that the Ceremonial Opening of the Legal Year will be held on Monday, 12 January 2004 at the Hong Kong City Hall. The Chief Executive is pleased to extend the invitation to all members. Spouses are cordially invited. Would those members who wish to attend the same submit their names to Rani Romani of the Bar Secretariat at 2869 0210 before 20 December 2003.

INTEREST ON JUDGMENT DEBT

The Chief Justice has ordered that the rate of interest on judgment debts in the High Court and District Court shall remain at 8% per annum.
