THE APPOINTMENT OF PRACTISING BARRISTERS
AS SENIOR COUNSEL

The Judiciary has written to inform us that the Notes for Guidance on the Appointment of Practising Barristers as Senior Counsel has been issued by Chief Justice on 3 October 2003. This has superseded the one issued on 3 October 2002. Please find the same enclosed.

Please also note that the next exercise of appointment of practising barristers as Senior Counsel will commence in mid-October this year. You may also wish to note that the application form has been revised for 2004 and thereafter, and that the main features of the revised from are set out in paragraph 7.2 of the Notes for Guidance.
