TALK ON "THE RULE OF LAW AND THE FUTURE OF HONG KONG AS AN
INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CENTRE" BY LORD DANIEL BRENNAN QC

Please be informed that the Civic Exchange invites members to attend a public lecture by Lord Brennan, QC on the captioned subject on Wednesday, 24 September 2003 from 5 - 7 pm at the Conrad Hotel, Harcourt Room, Level 5, Lower Lobby, Pacific Place, Hong Kong.

The lecture will highlight the importance of the rule of law for Hong Kong's future economic development. This is the first event in an annual lecture series dealing with key public issues in Hong Kong.

SEMINAR ON "PIRACY AND THE LEGITIMATE DEMAND FOR RECORDED MUSIC"

Please be informed that the Intellectual Property Department is organization the captioned seminar on Thursday, 23 October 2003 from 3 - 4:30 pm at the Intellectual Property Department, IPD Function Room (Room 2501), 25/F, Wu Chung House, 213 Queen's Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong.

The speakers are from National University of Singapore, Messrs. Ivan Png, Vice Provost for Graduate & Undergraduate Education and Hui Kai-Lung, Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems.
