Circular No. 067/03
To : Members of the Bar Association
From : Andrew Mak - Hon. Secretary
Date : 4 August 2003
DISPENSE WITH FIXING THE BLUE RIBBON TO GRANTS OF REPRESENTATION
Please be informed that the Probate Registry has written to inform us that the long established practice of the Probate Registry to affix a blue ribbon to a grant of representation for decorative and security purpose is a very time-consuming exercise. In order to put the human resources in better use they have suggested that the present practice be substituted by a more efficient way, namely, by putting the court seal to every sheet of paper contained in the grant.
Any grants issued after 31 August 2003 will no longer be fixed with blue ribbon. For security purpose the grant and the back page of each and every enclosure thereto will bear a court seal instead of a blue ribbon attached to the grant.
