WIRELESS LAN SERVICE

Members will be pleased to know that a Wireless Local Area Network Service (WLAN) has been deployed in the Bar Secretariat. The WLAN network covers the area of the Conference Room and non-smoking lounge on LG2 High Court. It is connected to the local area network of the Bar Secretariat. Members can therefore access the Internet and network printers through the newly installed system.

Four PCMCIA WLAN adapters are available for loan at the Bar Secretariat. Those who wish to use the new facility should register with the Bar Secretariat. The cost for using the PCMCIA WLAN adapter is $25/hour and $15/30 minutes respectively while the printing cost for normal black and white is at $1/page (A4 size). Colour printing facilities are also available upon request at a $3/page (A4 size).

The service is available to members during office hours from 9 am to 6 pm (including lunch time). Members are welcome to make use of the new facility as and when they require.
